Handmade Watercolour Papers

This Handmade Watercolour Paper is made from 100% recycled cotton, was hand pressed and sun dried! It has all the hallmarks of a beautiful handmade paper with its natural irregular surface texture and soft deckle edge – it’s bound to please students, junior artists and crafters a like!

Handmade Watercolour Paper is off-white in colour and has a rough tooth. Made from cotton it’s durable and highly absorbent so it’s well suited for wet media – including watercolour, gouache and ink, as well as for mixed media, collage, paper crafts. It can also be stitched into. This paper can be drawn on to, though it best suits larger drawing materials such as pastels, crayons, oil pastels and Slicks – which easily glide over the paper’s pronounced tooth. The paper’s rough absorbent texture does not suit markers or fine pencils.

Thick and sturdy, these handy 300gsm paper squares are great for small artworks, painting experiments, and paper crafts such as card making.
