Liquitex Slow Dri Mediums
Slow drying time by 40% and increase transparency, so you can work your paint for longer.
What it does
• Extends the open time of your colour/medium by 40% so it is blendable and workable for longer
• Increases transparency
• Gives softer edges and great colour blends
• Extends your colour further without affecting acrylic stability
• Lowers viscosity of heavier body paints, giving increased flow
• Increases surface gloss, colour depth and transparency
• Maintains paint adhesion, durability and archival quality
• Ideal for dry and hot climates
How to use it
• Fully intermixable with all Liquitex products
• Can be thined by diluting with up to 25% water - distilled water will give best results
• Mix as much as you like into acrylic colour/medium to create the viscosity and transparency you want - the more you add, the thinner and more transparent your colour will become
• Stir gently to avoid creating foam - if bubbles appear, leave it to sit while the bubbles rise and disappear
• If you're working over a long period of time, mix into colour on the palette to keep it fresh and skin-free for longer
• This is semi-opaque when wet, transparent when dry
• To fix pastel, graphite or chalk, mix 1 part medium to 1 part distilled water and apply with an atomizer or airbrush
How not to use it
• Do not shake or vigorously over-brush as this can result in a foggy, hazy look when dry
• Do not use with any non-acrylic media
