Dry embossing (aka 'relief embossing') is done by tracing a stencil with embossing stylus tools. The result is a raised pattern on the object you are embossing. Use on paper or embossing aluminium foil (find on our website here).

Embossing tools can also be used to create interesting effects when pressed into paper - with pastel or pencil buffed over the top to leave the indented areas free of colour.
